Teaching at the University of Phoenix On-line

Since March, 2000 I have been teaching online courses at the University of Phoenix . So far I've taught "Information Technology and Decision Science", "Software Engineering", "CIS Strategic Planning", "Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming", and "Advanced Visual Basic". Online computer-mediated education was an outgrowth of the technological transformation of the work place and a response to the increasing use of computers and modems for communication. The University of Phoenix Online was formed in 1989 and currently enrolls degree-seeking adult students from all over the U.S. and the world. It is a group-based learning environment offering the kind of interaction and support which take place in a traditional face-to-face seminar-style classroom.
I have found the online environment to very interesting and I am amazed at how much of a sense of community can be established over the Internet. It is a very rewarding learning experience. Other classes I am approved to teach are shown in the table below.
